Extending Graphisoft's award-winning BIMx app from iOS to Android with embedded senior engineers.
The Challenge
Graphisoft had already built BIMx, an app for visualizing 3D architectural models, for iOS — a bridge between clients and architects that turns a project into an interactive, professional walkthrough. To reach a broader user base, Graphisoft needed an Android version, but building it required specialized Android expertise the team wanted to bring in externally.
The Solution
LogiNet staff-augmented Graphisoft's in-house team with senior Android developers — three at first, later two — who worked side by side with Graphisoft to replicate the iOS app on Android, design included, from August 2019 to October 2020. One LogiNet developer has stayed on the project ever since for ongoing enhancements.
